2024 - 2025 Concert Recordings

Concert Program

This captivating evening of music featured the Ashland High School Concert Bands and the 7th and 8th grade bands. The Ashland Concert Band - Blue presented Suite of English Country Dances by Pierre La Plante, while the Ashland Concert Band - White performed American Riversongs, also by La Plante. Together, the Blue and White bands collaborated on Tenth Regiment March by R.B. Hall and El Camino Real by Alfred Reed (arr. Longfield), as well as a Fanfare based on Bach's Little Fugue in G Minor, specially arranged for the Carolina Crown Drum Corps for their 2017 show. This performance commemorated the legacy of J.S. Bach as we approach 2025, marking 275 years since his death in 1750.

The concert also featured the 7th grade band performing an arrangement of In the Hall of the Mountain King by Edvard Grieg, a piece made popular by the hit movie Trolls. The 8th grade band entertained the audience with Dr. Rockenstein, a fun monster mashup of familiar spooky themes. The evening concluded with the 8th grade band joining forces with the combined AHS Concert bands for a powerful rendition of Due North
